MY LAWYER LOANED ME HIS CAR FOR A WEEK - WHAT DID YOURS DO?

David has been pursuing my ex-husband for money he was supposed to pay me to use towards purchasing a new car. Needless to say, he has not paid. Well, sure enough, my car breaks down and needs to go into the shop and they say it will take 4 days. I have two kids who are in a ton of activities. I was basically screwed. I was talking to David's wife on the phone (we have become friends, as have our daughters) and David overheard me saying I was going to have to rent a car. When he heard that, he took the phone from his wife's hand and said, "Mishel, I'm not going to let you rent a car. Come on over here and pick up the Sonata and you can drive it for as long as you need." I was literally stunned. David recently bought a new Mustang Cobra, so he is selling this fully loaded 2012, practically brand new, Hyundai sonata Turbo, that is just beautiful and far, far nicer than the car I had in the shop. I asked him if he was sure he wanted to do this with a car he was trying to sell, and he never wavered for a second. His exact words were, "I firmly believe in karma, you are a friend and you need help. it is within my power to help you, so there's nothing to think about at all. Just don't wreck it." How many lawyers would do that? I mean, seriously...have you EVER heard of a lawyer who cared that much about one of his hundreds of clients??? It is one thing to be the best attorney I have ever seen, and he is by far, but it is something else entirely to be one of the best people I know. But, I do have to add that I wanted to borrow the 2014 Cobra, about the coolest car I've seen in my life, and he wasn't having any of that, BUT...I was overwhelmed that he would help me and my family to such an extent after he has done everything he could do to get me custody of my girls and everything I needed out of my divorce and stopped charging me to do it months ago. He works for free, he gives me a car when I need it, he took my daughter to the fair yesterday...I continue to grow impressed a little more every day by David and I think people should know this story when they are looking for a lawyer. There simply are not many like him.
